Don’t be fooled; beware of Plastic chrome-plated covers sold elsewhere. Plastic wheel covers often utilize inferior ring mounts connected by plastic tabs that can crack or break when installing. This type of mount is designed only to stay on the wheel if full ring tension is maintained continuously. All it takes is one cracked plastic retention tab, and the cover is junk as ring tension is lost. Often a weakened retention tab is not noticed during installation, and a fly-off occurs, resulting in a missing wheel cover.
