About Wheel Trim Rings

Wheel trim rings are measured by turning the ring upside down on a flat surface. This measurement does not include the flat lip area of the ring. All standard trim rings unless otherwise noted are approximately 1-1/2" in depth. This type of wheel trim ring is common to the majority of steel wheels. Specialty wheel trim rings for Mustangs, Corvettes, pickups, rally wheels etc. are deeper than standard size and will not fit many wheels. The following depth measurements are given as a general guide.  Trim ring size Approximate depth 14 x 5 2" 14 X 6 2-3/4" 14 x 7 2-1/2" 15 x 7 2-1/4" 15 x 8 3" Wheel trim rings are also called wheel beauty rings in some areas.
