Installing the TravelTunes Stereo Headrest is Simple.

Step 1 - Position the pad

Because TravelTunes is already pre-wired from the factory, before placing the child in the seat, simply lay the TravelTunes pad into position (wiring side against seat). Allow the top portion to drape over the top ofthe Infant Seat, so that the child’s head will be centered between the two speakers on either side of the pad.

Step 2 - Velcro tape the pad in place

Place your child in the seat, and fasten the harness as usual. Once the child is in place, simply slide the pad up or down, in order to position the speakers directly behind the child’s ears.

At this point, you are ready to affix the supplied velcro strip to the rear of the car seat. Simply remove the backing from the adhesive tape and press the TravelTunes in place. This will not have to be changed again, until the child begins to grow and you find the TravelTunes pad needs to be raised. The velcro allows you to easily remove the TravelTunes pad for cleaning.

Step 3 - Connect the cord

TravelTunes is shipped complete with a ten-foot extension cord that will easily reach to the front seat of your vehicle. Simply attach this cord to the connector protruding from the top of the pad, and connect the other end to your own personal cassette or CD Player, Walkman, or even the headphone jacks now found in the back seat of most minivans and sport utility vehicles. Be sure to conceal this extension cord behind the car seat and under the floor mats.

And remember -- you don't need to remove TravelTunes from your child's car seat when you take the car seat out of the vehicle. Just unplug the TravelTunes extension cord and everything stays in place.

Step 4 - Adjust the volume

With your vehicle’s engine idling, adjust the volume on the audio source (the cassette/CD player, Walkman, etc.) so that a person in the front seat of the vehicle can barely hear the sound coming from the TravelTunes speakers. This is very important. At this appropriate sound level, the volume will be sufficiently loud to entertain the child, but will not damage his hearing.

Happy Trails Ahead!

Your child is now ready to begin enjoying his favorite music, storybook tapes, or lullabies. Remember, you control both the musical selection and the volume for your child, without disturbing other passengers in the vehicle.
